The Chalet
Chalet Chasseur is an owner run luxury 5 Star Chalet with stunning views of the Dix valley.
Catered accommodation is available from December to April for six people, during this time Helen and Nigel your experienced (live in) hosts, will be on hand to provide a five star personnel service..
Self-catered accommodation is available for the rest of the year for up to eight people..

Location
Part of one of the largest and highest system in Europe, including Mount Fort 3300m, Mont Gelé 3023m, Greppon Blanc 2700m and many more above 2000 meters. The system benefits from over 400km of piste and over 100 lifts, many of which operate in the summer linking hundreds of kilometres of mountain bike tracks and hiking paths
Geneva airport is 1h45 minutes drive or train journey direct from Geneva airport to Sion
Sion is 20 minutes drive to the chalet, there is bus or taxi available from the station
Beginners, Swiss ski school from 3.5 years with Kids Village, group and individual lessons available. The wide open sunny slopes above Les Collons are ideal
Intermediate, There are many red and black slopes for those looking for more of a challenge, it’s possible to ski to Verbier or one of the other resorts on the four valleys for lunch and get back in time for tea. The world class competition piste de L'Ours is just two lifts away from the chalet
Advanced, Countless kilometres of off piste and trails where a ski guide is essential, we can recommend one if you require. Heli skiing is available in the four valleys

Arranged on three floors the three en-suite bedrooms, (four in summer) all have flat screen TV's and English Sky. Three have a bath and shower the other has a shower and access to the upper balcony.
The open plan living/dining area with mezzanine above which has under floor heating, log fire and cosy seating area with Free WIFI, English SKY TV, DVD and home entertainment system. This opens out to a large balcony with stunning views to the Dix dam and the mountains beyond. The chalet also has a sauna with separate shower and heated boot rack with storage in the basement. Traditional Swiss style chalet constructed in 2007 and finished to the highest standard with 183m living area. Garage has ski/bike storage and there is private parking for two cars at the chalet.

Helen our trained chef will prepare high quality home cooked meals from fresh top quality ingredients. She will provide breakfast and three course evening meal for six days of the week. On her day off, she will prepare a continental-style breakfast and afternoon tea. That evening you can eat out in one of the traditional Swiss local restaurants, we can advise and make arrangements for you.
Buffet style continental breakfast with a hot option of the day of either, bacon, pancakes, eggs or porridge.
Nigel’s home made cake served with tea and coffee. Just the thing after a hard day on the slopes.
Tea, coffee and water is available at all times. We have a well stocked honesty bar with beers, fine wines from the Valais, spirits and mixers.
We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements. We can offer separate children’s meals in the evening if required (there will be an extra charge), please contact us for details. Please make us aware of either on booking so we can plan the menus and shop accordingly
Lunch is easy as there a many traditional Swiss good quality restaurants dotted around the mountain serving various types of food including sandwiches, pasta, fondue, rösti, pizza or even a three course meal at a reasonable price, they do not charge the earth like some resorts. We can make recommendations as have eaten in many ourselves.
Additional Information
Sion is the oldest town in Switzerland located in the heart of the Valais which really does offer something for everyone from sun drenched vineyards to snow capped mountains, pure mountain air a place where the sun reins supreme for more than 300 days a year. The area has all the charm that traditional Switzerland can offer, you gaze down over the larch forests with delightful chalets dotted around the slopes and the church spires in quaint villages on the other side of the valley.
Valais has over 50 varieties of grapes and wine making tradition which dates back thousands of years. Fendant and Johannisberg are delicious whites along with fruity reds like Gamay, Pinot Noir and Dole, a must to sample along with a raclette, rösti or fondue.
The traditional village of Hérémence is 2km below and has all the amenities you would expect including cash point, post office, butchers and grocery store. Les Masses is 0.5km away, it has a restaurant/bar, tourist office and mini supermarket. Les Collons is 8 minutes drive where you will find a couple of good restaurants and bars, ski hire shop, supermarket and tourist office
